Finn Thomas

Finn is a registered Osteopath with the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand and is an ACC-registered provider.
Finn has been in practice since 2002 following the completion of his fulltime four-year training at the British School of Osteopathy (Europe’s leading osteopathic college) and was a registered nurse prior to his osteopathic career, giving him a broad and comprehensive experience in healthcare over 30 years.
Finn enjoys general osteopathic practice and seeing people with a wide range of conditions and is used to seeing patients with all forms of accidents and injuries people sustain through life. Finn has a particular interest and experience in pregnancy, post-natal and paediatric osteopathic care. He has completed a two-year post-graduate in Women’s Health Osteopathy, and has worked with obstetricians, GPs, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants in New Zealand and England over the past 21 years, including working closely with obstetricians both in practice and hospital.
Finn is often referred people with long-term, traumatic, and/or complicated conditions and enjoys the challenge of unravelling the route of the problem, he has also treated professional dancers and professional sports players both in NZ and the UK.
Finn taught Osteopathy at Oxford Brookes University for nine years and then taught technique and professional and clinical competence at the University College of Osteopathy (previously called the British School of Osteopathy) for five years. He also has lectured at post-graduate level in cranial osteopathy, pregnancy and paediatrics.
Finn is passionate about helping people and treats structurally, cranially and viscerally which allows him to tailor treatment to the individual and treat a wider variety of conditions both safely and effectively.
Finn is really looking forward to getting involved in life back here in New Zealand and has moved permanently with his wife and children to the Richmond area so is looking forward to being your new osteopath and looking after you and your family.
